It is with great anticipation and excitement we are proud to introduce the ALL-NEW Campbelltown Joggers Club results portal (beta):

This portal which is in beta, can also be accessed via this website (Menu-About-Geeks).  It holds the history of results for all members for all events we’ve held since… well a long time anyway.  You can search for your results and others, easily see your own history and, and… well that’s still pretty good!  This data used to only be accessible to the system coordinator from a laptop, but has now been liberated for all to explore and reminisce!

While this is still very much a work-in-progress, and you will notice it changing over time, it is definitely ready for our membership to explore. And it is immensely better than the old way of having to open multiple PDF files that you have to download first, just to compare your own times over weeks or seasons, or trawling through old Facebook posts. Yuk.

We are still working frantically adding features with the eventual goal of having live results posted not too far away.  This system is all “Cloud” based (ie on a computer in a datacentre somewhere) which means you can access it at any time and on the device of your choice.  The system will completely replace the MS Access system we are currently using.

It is being completely developed by our own members in-house, so we are in total control. There have been thousands of accumulated hours of effort gone into this which can be easy to dismiss, but this is very much appreciated from the top down - thanks Geeks!  Of course we welcome any feedback, and anyone out there who might be interested in assisting with development.  It is an exciting time to get involved, and the more people who can help, the better!

As the portal matures and becomes in a state to go live, it will entirely replace the current results reporting on the website, so that's exciting (it is for me).
