Access to the Campbelltown Athletics Centre is changing
Campbelltown Council's Stadium Management team have have identified the use of the internal double gate at the Pembroke Carpark which leads into the main stadium ring road as a major safety risk.
Please refer to the image below.
WHAT IS STAYING THE SAME
- Access to the carpark remains the same with vehicle access via Pembroke road.
WHAT IS CHANGING
- The internal double gate at the Pembroke Carpark which leads into the main stadium ring roadroad (marked LIGHT BLUE) is to remain locked at all times unless to give access for emergency vehicles.
- All pedestrian traffic will need to enter the Athletics Centre via the pedestrian gate at the northern end of the Pembroke Rd carpark (marked GREEN in the image below) and then turning left into the large sliding gate entrance adjacent to the main stadium turnstiles.
- ALL vehicle entrance into the main stadium ring road should be reduced/eliminated where possible. Club members with a council issued swipe pass who require to bring their vehicle into the stadium ring road should use the Leumeah Rd entrance via our automatic vehicle gate (marked ORANGE). Vehicles who will be dropping equipment off or staying inside the venue for the duration of the session/event will need to park in the grass area behind the athletics centre following the YELLOW directional arrow on the attached map.
- In the case of emergency vehicle access (ambulance, fire, police), the internal Pembroke Rd gate can be used but will need to have a club representative unlock and open gates when required.
