Event information

Registrations for this event are closed.

We are back with the July 10km Handicap this Sunday – 26 July 2020.

We have had to make some changes in accordance with our COVID Safety Plan. Please ensure you read this email in its entirety and seek clarification if required.

As previously mentioned, the Committee has decided to cancel the Club Championship Series for 2020. This is due to the four missed events, the current uncertainty over future restrictions and most importantly to honour the prestige of the current Club Championship Format. We are however happy to bring you a 10km race each month July – October, as we know there are many members looking forward to the opportunity to run a timed event. You can still race for a red singlet or a PB trophy.

There will be no key bucket for key storage and all personal belongings must be stored in your car. There is strictly limited access to the shed.

ARRIVAL AND RACE START

Upon arrival at Bradbury, during any warm up and waiting at the start line please ensure you social distance at all times.

With the knowledge of your start time, you may arrive after the clock commences. We do request that any member who arrives close to or after 7:15am parks closer to the Swimming Pools and is mindful or any runners who may have already commenced their run. Likewise, Runners must always be aware of cars and traffic.

We will have a volunteer calling out start times and marking off attendance as you commence.

FINISH AND DE-REGISTRATION PROCESS

When you cross the finish line you will receive a disposable place card.

There is no need to collect your barcode, proceed to the de-registration table and show the place card to the volunteer at the desk. Please ensure you maintain an adequate social distance from the table and other members and dispose of your place card in the bin provided.

Whilst the motto is “Get there, Run, Get Out” we do ask that members wait until all participants have finished the event to leave Bradbury for safety reasons. With a staggered start, all participants are generally finished within a 15 minute window. If you do have to leave before the event is completed please ensure you park your car closer to the pools to avoid any danger to runners.

RESULTS

The results will be processed away from Bradbury and announced online later Sunday afternoon. There will be no Presentation or Morning Tea at Bradbury Park.

VOLUNTEERS

We do still require volunteers to make this event possible. The CJC Committee have endeavoured to make this event as contactless as possible to avoid any risk to the health and safety of all members and volunteers. Please speak to Peta if you are available to assist.
